The United Nations Security Council has issued a statement condemning the brutal terror attacks targeting Catholic churches and tourist hotels in Sri Lanka on Sunday (21).
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has said that he was grateful for the victims of terror attacks and that all kinds of terror acts threatened international peace and security.
It also says that, it calls on all countries to support Sri Lanka’s investigations into the assault.
The Security Council consists of 15 members, of whom 5 are permanent members. China, France, Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom are permanent members. According to the Charter, each country has one vote each. According to the Charter, all UN member states agree with the decisions of the OCT.
