The West Indies have been penalized 20% of their match fees by the International Cricket Council (ICC) following their loss to Sri Lanka.
Referee David Boone imposed the fine for failing to complete 20 overs on time. Kieran Pollard’s squad has been accused by David Boone of sending in one over in less than the allocated time.
If a side fails to bowl on time, they will be penalized 20% of their match fee for each over, according to Article 2.22 of the International Code of Conduct for Players.
Because West Indies cricket captain Kieran Pollard pleaded guilty to the accusations, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided that no official investigation is required.
