China warns that US establishment of space force is a direct threat to global peace
China strongly condemned the US move to establish a military force that would jeopardize global stability.
China said the move would set the stage for the militarization of space.
China also urged the world community to take measures to prevent space from becoming a war zone.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry added that China is keen on this.
President Donald Trump recently stepped in to allocate the first financial aid to the US Space Force by signing the annual military budget.
He said that since space is the world’s newest battlefield, it is imperative to ensure American excellence in space.
The US said the space force would consist of 16,000 people.
