He is the founder of Amazon, a world – renowned online marketing company.
In addition to 57-year-old Bass, his brother Mark Bases, 82-year-old astronaut Wally Funk and 18-year-old student Oliver Damon also joined the trip.
The New Shepherd, manufactured by Beasley’s Blue Origin Company, was launched from its Van Horn premises in Texas.
After ascending 76 km above the Earth, the team’s capsule detached from its accelerator and the crew carried the capsule 106 km above the Earth into space.
The journey time of the bases was 10 minutes and 10 seconds.
