According to authorities, the bomber detonated his device in front of a hospital in Liverpool shortly after noon.
Imad al-Sweelmeen, the bomber, was going in a cab when he was injured by a bomb.
He died, while the car’s driver was not reported to be hurt.
The taxi came to a halt for a two-minute moment of silence to honor the military veterans before exploding.
Later, British police claimed it was a terrorist attack.
Following that, four people were arrested under the Terrorism Act in the Liverpool region.
They were, however, later released without being charged.
Following the incident, the terrorism threat to the United Kingdom has increased to a “severe” level.
Security officers were summoned to search Imad al-home Swilmeen’s on Sutcliffe Street in the Kensington district, according to police.
