Sri Lanka will play against Australia in the fifth ODI of the World Cup today (15) at 3.00pm at the Oval.
This is the fifth match that is played in both the ICC World Twenty20 and the both sides.
Australian captain Aaron Finch attended the press briefing after the session and said, “Fortunately, we were able to participate in the competition.
Unfortunately, Sri Lanka did not get that opportunity. Sri Lanka is a strong team.
We are ready to face it.
Sri Lankan captain Dimuth says this is a challenge as a short bowl overall in the World Cup. Two short balls per round are allowed.
Some batsmen are fine for a short ball. Some batsmen are short-term batsmen. Australian fast bowlers have good bowling. We are planning to face it. ”
If Sri Lanka is to win the game, it is the first time that Australia has been defeated at the World Cup in 23 years after 1996.
