Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in India to attend the 21st Indo – Russia Summit, aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between India and Russia.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Russian President. This was the first meeting between the Russian President and the Indian Prime Minister since the BRICS summit in 2019.
In addition, Indian media have reported that this is the first time that Russian President Putin has paid an official visit to one of the world’s leading countries since the outbreak of the ‘Kovid 19’ epidemic.
