The Pope has arrived in Japan today as part of his second Asian tour.
The main purpose of the visit was to take the anti-nuclear message to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
The Pope is also expected to visit several survivors of the nuclear attack on those cities.
It is said that the Pope will also visit Fukushima, which was devastated by a leak at a 2011 nuclear power plant.
“I would love to meet people who are still bearing the brunt of these tragic events in human history,” the pope said.
The Pope will return to Japan after his visit to Thailand and will spend four days there.
