Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has said that Pakistan must ensure that women’s rights are protected in Afghanistan.
Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani social activist, says the situation in Afghanistan should not be seen as an issue of peace and security in the country, but of peace and security in the region as a whole.
She also called on Pakistan to take strong action to protect women’s rights in Afghanistan.
Malala Yousafzai says Pakistan must pressurize the Taliban to protect the right to education for girls and young women in Afghanistan and ensure their continued education.
Malala Yousafzai made the remarks while addressing an online conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly on “Supporting Future Girls’ Education in Afghanistan”.
