The Cabinet Secretary of State for Government, Yoshihide Suga has said that there is no plan to postpone the activities of the Olympic Games in Japan this year due to the virus.
Addressing a press conference yesterday, the cabinet secretary said this.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games are scheduled for July 24 to August 9 this year.
However, Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga has replied to the propaganda that the Olympic Games will be affected by the coronavirus spreading in many countries these days.
The International Olympic Committee and the Tokyo Olympic Committee will continue to work together, the Cabinet Secretary said.
He said his government is committed to hosting the Olympic Games.
