Britain has dispatched Marines to the Gulf in the midst of the crisis in the Middle East.
Iran has been accused of two Norwegian vessels carrying fuel at the Oman Gulf region, suspected of involvement in a number of incidents.
It was reported in May that several fuel ships were bombed and Iran was responsible for it.
These events have created instability in the region and intensified its military operations.
In the Gulf, Britain has been focusing on deploying Marines to the security of its ships in order to protect its ships.
According to the Times, the 42nd commando group of the Marine Corps, headed by the Plymouth City, is sending the group to the Gulf region.
Meanwhile, a team of 100 Marines have already been sent to the Middle East region, confirming the reports, the British Defense Minister said.
Accordingly, they are due to join the ships of their naval base established in the Persian Gulf state of Bahrain in the next few weeks.
A tense situation arose in the region, with two oil ships damaged in the Oman Gulf region on June 13.
That is what the British have done.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Friday, the British Foreign Ministry claimed responsibility for the attack.
Iran, however, denies the allegations, saying it is baseless.
Iran has also summoned the British ambassador to Iran for comment on this statement.
