South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has been infected with the Covid-19 virus.
The South African president’s office has said the president has been diagnosed with the virus during an investigation into Covid’s symptoms.
Foreign media reported that he is currently on self-quarantine in Cape Town.
According to foreign media reports, the administration of the country has been handed over to the Vice President David Mabusa until the President of South Africa recovers.
The South African presidency has said that all parties that have had close ties with the president in the past week have been instructed to pursue expedited Covid investigations.
