Agnes Tirop, Kenya’s world record holder in the 10 km women’s race, has been stabbed to death.
Foreign media reported that the murder took place at her home in Aiten, Kenya.
Her husband is suspected in the incident and he has fled the area.
Agnes Trope, 25, set a world record in the women’s 10km race in Germany last month.
She also finished fourth in the 5,000m final at the Olympics and has won two bronze medals at the World Athletics Championships.
