Japanese Prime Minister Shenzo Abe has arrived in Tehran’s capital, Iran, to attend a special celebration to mark the 90th anniversary of Japan’s Iranian friendship.
The Japanese Prime Minister received a warm welcome from the Iranian government. A military salute was also held on behalf of Prime Minister Abe.
Discussions were held between the Japanese Prime Minister and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on strengthening bilateral ties.
A meeting was also held between Prime Minister Abe and Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Khomeini.
After the meeting, the Japanese prime minister told the media that he was able to deepen his friendship with Iran.
