Foreigners from 13 countries have been confirmed killed in a terror attack on Sunday, targeting several churches and hotels.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that 36 foreigners have been identified.
The dead foreigners are from China, India, Bangladesh, Denmark, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, France, Turkey, Britain, USA and Australia.
11 Indian nationals, 6 British nationals, and three Tamils among them, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
In addition, 12 other foreigners were injured and hospitalized.
14 foreigners are still missing, the External Affairs Ministry said.
The External Affairs Ministry is taking measures to identify unidentified foreigners. An emergency number 011 2 323015 has been called for informing the affected foreigners.
According to police, 39 foreigners were killed in the attacks.
Police Media Spokesman, SSP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the search operations are continuing in Colombo and suburbs.
He pointed out that the services of the armed forces have also been obtained for this.
