
A teenager has set several Guinness records by solving six complex math problems mentally in a single day. The 14-year-old from Maharashtra, India, is Aryan Nitin Shulka. He has previously earned a reputation for solving complex math problems mentally and has been nicknamed the ‘human calculator’.
Aryan set the Guinness record by adding 100 four-digit numbers in the shortest time. He took 30.9 seconds to do so. He also recorded the shortest time to add 200 four-digit numbers mentally, taking one minute and 9.68 seconds, according to the Guinness World Records. He took just 18.71 seconds to mentally add 50 five-digit numbers.
He also took 51.69 seconds to multiply two five-digit numbers and 2 minutes and 35.41 seconds to multiply two eight-digit numbers. He also took 5 minutes and 42 seconds to divide a 20-digit number by a 10-digit number.
Aryan set this new Guinness record at an event organized by the Guinness World Records in Dubai.
In addition to these Guinness records, he also set a Guinness record last year for the fastest time to mentally add 50 five-digit numbers. In an interview with People magazine, he said that practicing yoga helps him calm his mind and increase his concentration. He also says that he spends five to six hours a day practicing math.
