His media spokesman Angel Urena tweeted that the former president had been hospitalized due to an emergency.
However, the Twitter message released by Angel Urana also states that the rumors that the former President has been hospitalized due to Covid infection are untrue.
Foreign media have reported that he is currently in good health.
