The Covid vaccine, which has been approved for emergency use in the United States, will be released tomorrow.
The first three million doses will be distributed across the state this weekend, according to reports.
The Institute for the Control and Prevention of Epidemic Diseases says that despite the Covid immunization, Americans must continue to wear protective masks and maintain social cohesion.
The agency said limited information was available on the vaccine’s ability to control the spread of Covid disease and how long the vaccine would provide protection. In the past 24 hours, 220,298 new cases have been identified in the United States.
The death toll from the country was 2,309 yesterday. To date, there are 72,174,058 global covid infections, bringing the total number of covid deaths to 1,612,962. Around 50,562,938 people worldwide have been cured of Covid infection.
