An American journalist has been killed in a Russian attack on Ukraine.
US journalist and filmmaker Brent Reynolds has been shot dead in the city of Irwin, near the capital, Kiev, after the Russian – Ukraine invasion.
Brent, 50, was the first foreign journalist to die during the war in Ukraine.
An expert in war news reporting, Brent has previously traveled with his fellow journalists from Iraq, Libya, and Afghanistan to cover news-hungry worlds from the battlefield and to cover the situation in Ukraine, which is currently under Russian occupation.
As of yesterday, the two were inspecting the real situation on the battlefield, approaching war-torn areas and areas occupied by Russian forces, filming the plight of civilians fleeing in fear of bombings.
He and his fellow journalist were shot dead by Russian troops, and Brent was shot in the neck.
He was shot and killed on the spot, and another fellow journalist, Juan, 45, who was injured in the shooting, is being treated at a hospital in Ukraine.
A media identity card issued by the New York Times has been found in the body of an American reporter.
