Delhi hit the semi-finals
Delhi Daredevils beat New Delhi Daredevils in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Twenty20 cricket tournament here today (Dec. 08). Delhi Daredevils beat Delhi Daredevils in a thrilling two-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals and Sunrises Hyderabad at Visakhapatnam. Passed.
Delhi, who won the semi-finals, will compete against Chennai Super Kings on Friday.
With the defeat, Sunrisers Hyderabad left the tournament.
Delhi chased a total of 163 runs in their overs to spare in the 19.5 overs.
Rishab Plaint top-scored with 49 off 21 balls with two fours and five sixes.
Rashid Khan took the lead in the 15th over in the 15th over, making Colin Munro and Achar Patel respectively in 111 all out.
At the end of the first session, Tharjith was able to steer 56 runs off 38 balls with six fours and two sixes.
The opening batsmen of the Delhi group, Priyanjt Shah and Shikar Dhawan, failed to get a good start. Opening batsmen scored 66 runs from 45 balls.
West Indies fast bowler Kimo Paol (32/3) was able to take Hyderabad to a big score.
Vijay Shanker added 25 runs for the fourth wicket with two sixes and two boundaries.
Vijay Shanker and Mohammad Nabi batted in the last over, and Hyderabad made 162 for the seventh wicket.
Manish Pandey scored 30 runs in 36 balls with three fours.
Martin Guptill made 36 off 19 balls when he was bowled by Amit Wishra. Guptill’s innings included four fours and four sixes.
Ridgamage was unbeaten on nine off nine deliveries in nine deliveries.
At the end of the first three over, Hyderabad scored 31 runs in the first innings, after Martin Guptill’s unbeaten knock.
