Kings XI Punjab beat Kings XI Punjab by 14 runs in the IPL match played at Delhi capital, Mohali on Friday.
Delhi, who chased down the target of 167 for victory, were restricted to 152 runs in 19.2 overs and Samarana won the toss and elected to bat. At the end of the innings, skipper Karun took 2.2 wickets and gave 4 wickets to his rivals.
Delhi’s captain Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohamed Summe picked up two wickets each for the Delhi bowlers.
Richards Patt scored 39 runs in 26 balls with three sixes and two fours. Colin Ingram scored 38 runs in 41 balls for the fourth wicket, and Pent managed to score but Delhi was not enough.
Ingram, Ingram, scored 29 in 29 balls, opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan (30 not out) and Tharanga Paranavitana (30 from 25 balls).
Punjab scored 166 runs for the loss of all wickets at the end of 20 overs. Punjab were unbeaten on 63 for 3 in their allotted overs, but Seraphar Khan (39) and David Miller (43) put on a partnership of 62 runs in 40 balls for the fourth wicket.
In reply, Miller hit six boundaries and four fours in his 30-ball innings. He hit six boundaries in 29 balls with 29 fours. Mandeep Singh was unbeaten on 29 off 21 balls with two fours and a six.
Chris Morris took 3 for 30 and Sandeep Lahmchaneh and Kagish Randhad took two wickets each for Delhi.
