The sixth match of their ‘My Daddy Superstar’ cricket encounter was held yesterday (24) at Colts and BRC grounds with the participation of former cricketing dancers ‘My Father’s Man’.
All matches will be played in 15 matches.
Earlier, Arjuna Ranatunga was unbeaten on 35 at the Colts Cricket Club grounds against St. Thomas’ College, Colombo. According to the rules, any batsman needs to get 35 points after leaving the match.
Later, the captain picked up 32 wickets in just 3 overs.
BRC Matara Rahula won the toss and elected to bat against Richmond College, Galle by seven wickets in their inter school under 19 cricket tournament match worked off at Moratuwa. St. Anthony’s College, Galle won the toss and elected to field first.
St. Peter’s College, Mount Lavinia and St. Peter’s College, Colombo were able to win the match by an aggressive 58 points to win the match by three wickets at Colts Grounds, Ananda. St. Joseph’s College Colombo won the toss and elected to bat against Royal College, Colombo.
Six of the matches played at Colts and BRC grounds yesterday, commenced yesterday in the ‘My Daddy My Superstar’ cricket tournament.
St. Anthony’s College, Colombo beat Nalanda College, Colombo and St. Joseph’s College, Mount Lavinia. They beat Isipatana College, Moratuwa, St. John’s College, Moratuwa and St. Anne’s College Kurunegala in the final played at Kolts grounds.
St. Sebastian’s, Moratuwa, Maliyadeva College, Kurunegala and St. Anthony’s College, Kandy defeated Rahula College, Matara, Trinity College, Kandy and DS Senanayake College, Colombo in the matches played at the BRC grounds yesterday.
Six final games will be played on March 30 and 31 in the semi-finals of the Colts Cricket Club Ground and at BRC grounds. The semi final will be played on April 6 at Colts and BRC grounds. The finals will be played on April 7 at the De Soysa Stadium, Moratuwa.
