Former Australian spinner Shane Warne has died of a heart attack this afternoon, according to foreign media reports.
Shane Warne Muttiah holds the record for most Test wickets before Muralitharan, one of the greatest right-arm spinners in world cricket history.
Warne was 52 years old when he died and is considered one of the greatest cricket legends in the world as well as a cricket legend.
He died in the early hours of Saturday morning in Koh Samui, Thailand, according to a statement from Shane Warne’s management.
Shane Warne was found in his mansion and he did not respond at the time.
The management said in a statement that despite the best efforts of the medical team, he was not able to survive.
“Protect your privacy at this time. The next steps and information will be announced soon, ”said Shane Warne’s family.
The news came less than 24 hours after the funeral of Rod Marsh, another Australian-born celebrity.
In his 15 years of international cricket, Shane Warne has taken 708 Test wickets, second only to Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan.
He was a member of the Australian team that won the 1999 World Cup.
He was also a member of five Australian teams that won the Ashes from 1993 to 2003.
