Austria has introduced a new law making it mandatory for people over the age of 18 to be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus.
Foreign media reported that the relevant law will come into effect from Feb. (01).
This is the first time a European country has made vaccination against the Covid-19 virus mandatory.
Although vaccination is mandatory for medical staff and the adult population in many countries, Austria is reported to be the first country to make vaccination compulsory for all persons over 18 years of age.
The Austrian government has said that vaccination is effective in combating serious diseases and that the new rules are essential to keep the country afloat.
