Authorities in central Xinjiang have ordered the closure of the city after 52 cases of Covid infection were reported. As many as 13 million people in Xiang have been forced to flee their homes due to strict enforcement of the Qawid laws.
The plane, which arrived from Pakistan on the 4th of last month, is believed to have contracted the Delta variant on the 4th, as preparations for the Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, are set to begin in February next year. However, it has not yet been confirmed that the new omicchron variant is among the Covid infections reported from Xiang.
A massive operation has been launched in the city to find new infections, and large-scale antigen tests are being conducted throughout the day.
