The Australian athletics team participating in the Olympics has been quarantined.
The decision was made by Olympic authorities after world pole vault champion Sam Kendrix Covid was diagnosed with the disease.
Several athletes on the Australian athletics team have been identified as associates of Kendricks.
Kendrick, the world pole vault champion, will miss the Olympics this year due to a Covid infection.
The Olympic authorities also said that PCR tests would be conducted on the Australian athletes who have been placed under quarantine.
