At least 31 people have been killed in heavy rains in Mumbai, India, media reported. Landslides have also occurred along with the rains, destroying many cars and homes.
At least 21 people have been killed in Mumbai’s Chembur province and 10 others have been reported dead in Vikhroli.
Disaster relief teams are also operating at night and searching for landslide victims is underway. More than 250 mm of rain has been recorded in the vicinity of Mumbai Airport during the past 24 hours.
