Eleven people were killed and several others were injured when lightning struck a group of people taking selfies in Jaipur, India, Indian media reported. Police said most of the dead were young people.
When it was raining heavily, a large number of people were taking selfies on a tower in the 12th century fort of Amar when lightning struck.
At that moment, there were about 27 people on the tower and on the wall, and some of them had jumped to the ground. Lightning strikes are estimated to kill about 2,000 people a year in India.
