Hundreds of students have been abducted by gunmen in a school in the Nigerian province of Samfara, foreign media reports say.
A teacher at the school was quoted by foreign media as saying that about 300 students were abducted by gunmen who broke into the school this morning.
However, the Nigerian government has not yet made any official statement regarding the abduction.
Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of reports of kidnappings of school children by armed men seeking ransom.
Last week, 42 people, including students, were abducted by gunmen who stormed a school dormitory in Niger.
