Former South African batsman Jacques Kallis has been appointed as the batting coach of the England team that will tour Sri Lanka in January next year.
Kallis, the third highest run scorer in world Test cricket, has become one of the strongest players in international cricket with his all-round prowess.
The Board of Control for Cricket in England believes that Kallis’ experience of playing 166 Test matches will be a great strength for the England batsman during the tour of Sri Lanka.
The England team is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on January 2 and will resume training after a quarantine period. The first Test between the two sides will be played on January 14 at the Galle International Stadium.
