President-elect Joe Biden says he urges Americans to wear masks for the first 100 days after being sworn in as US president.
He points out that if all Americans wear face masks, it could significantly reduce the incidence of Covid-19.
He added that he would issue orders mandating the wearing of masks in government buildings.
So far, 275,000 deaths have been reported in the United States due to Covid-19, and more than 14 million people have been infected.
