The match between Jaffna Stallions and Goal Gladiators in the Lanka Premier League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament will begin today (27) at 7.30 pm at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota.
Thisara Perera will captain the Jaffna Stallions while Bhanuka Rajapaksa will captain the Goal Gladiators.
Apart from Thisara Perera, the former captain of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, the current members of the Sri Lanka cricket team are Suranga Lakmal, Avishka Fernando, Dhananjaya de Silva and Wanindu Hasaranga.
The Jaffna Stallions have six foreign players, including the experienced Shoaib Malik, as well as Johnson Charles and Kyle Abbott.
Bhanuka Rajapaksa has been appointed as the new captain of Goal Gladiators as Shahid Afridi has to be quarantined until the 30th of this month.
Lasith Malinga LPL Leaving the tournament has been a huge loss for the goal team. As a result, left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Ameer will be given more responsibility for bowling.
Bhanuka will be assisted by openers Danushka Goonetileke, Akila Dhananjaya, Milinda Siriwardena, Lakshan Sandakan and Shehan Jayasuriya. Waqas Maqsood, Hasratullah Sasai and Chadwick Walton are the other foreign players in the squad.
