Former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson has been officially appointed as the new British Prime Minister by the Queen of Britain.
The announcement of the leadership was held at Queen Elizabeth Two Hall in Westminster with the participation of many party members.
Johnson, who won 92,153 votes in the election to elect the new leader, easily secured his victory.
His opponent, Jeremy Hunt, the current foreign affairs minister, won only 46,656 votes.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Johnson said his firm hope is for the success of the Brexit program with the support of the opposition.
Boris Johnson is the former mayor of London and Theresa Mae’s first foreign minister.
Johnson, however, is unlikely to receive much support from Prime Minister Teresa, who resigned from the party leadership following a failed Brexit campaign.
A group of party seniors have already said that a former minister and minister has already resigned and will not support him.
This is the first time that Conservative Party members have voted to elect the Prime Minister as well as the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Theresa is due to meet Queen Elizabeth II for the last time in Buckingham Palace.
She will hand over her resignation to the Queen, and Boris Johnson will be sworn in as the next British Prime Minister.
