The Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, inaugurated the G20 Leaders Summit here today.
The G20 summit is considered one of the determinants of the economic and political orientation of the world.
This year’s G20 Summit will be held in Osaka, Japan.
The G20’s or Team of 20 includes the Heads of States and European Union in 19 major economies.
Argentina’s President Mauricio Macri, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro, Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Chinese President Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkolio, Italian President Saudi Crown Prince Salman, US Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrad, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, South Korean President Moon Jae-in, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoවාan, Prime Minister Theresa Maude Attending the conference.
Since Japan is the host of this year’s conference, the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, also holds the post.
In addition, Sean Claude Junker, President of the European Union, attends the summit.
The main theme of this year’s G20 Summit is “Building a Humanitarian Future Society.”
The conference will also address topics such as global economic affairs, trade and investment, innovation, terrorism, the environment and energy, development, more women and health.
As usual, a special security program is in place for the CHOGM.
It is also reported that groups protesting the G20 summit are carrying out their protests as usual.
The protesters are of the opinion that the world leaders have no intention of doing good to the world except to gather together once a year to eat and drink.
Last year, the 2018 G20 Telephone Conference was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Next year, the 2020 G20 will be held in Saudi Arabia.
The discussion between US President Donald Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is highlighted on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan.
The meeting took place amidst escalating trade war between the two countries.
During the meeting, the issue of trade tensions between the two countries will be discussed.
Meanwhile, the US President said in a tweet that the Indian government is in talks with India to avoid excessive taxes on its goods.
Earlier this month, India increased tariffs on 28 US imports in response to President Trump’s decision to cancel US GSP concessions to India.
Trump made these allegations while the two states were powering each other over the action.
India is the largest country to enjoy the US GSP concession.
Under this, $ 5.6 billion of goods were imported to the United States under tariff concessions.
However, foreign leaders said the two leaders would agree to end the trade war and strengthen economic ties.
