World Cup trophy wins a $ 4 million
The ICC has decided to offer a $ 4 million cash prize to the World Cup winner in this year’s World Cup. It is known as the highest prize money ever in World Cup history. This is Rs. 70 crores in Sri Lanka.
The Australian team won last year’s World Cup cricket championship with a total of $ 3.75 million. Accordingly, the prize draws increased by US $ 250,000.
The prize money will be awarded to US $ 10 million, while the championship will be worth US $ 2 million, while US $ 8 million will be awarded to the teams who lost in the semi-finals.
The tournament, which consists of 10 teams, will be held in the preliminary round of the tournament, where each team will compete in the league with the other 9 teams. Accordingly, the 45 matches will be played in the preliminary round and the semi-finals and the final will be 48.
A team that is unable to win the same match of the tournament will receive $ 100,000 (Rs.175 million). In addition, each winner of a preliminary round receives $ 40,000 (Rs. 7 million) prize money.
The tournament will be held from May 30 to July 14 in 46 places. England, on the 30th of May, will play against South Africa in Oval.
